Week 6: Memory Verse

Why This Verse

“Jehovah-Jireh” — the LORD will provide — is one of the great names of God in Scripture, and it was spoken first on a mountain where Abraham raised a knife over his son. The promise that “on the mount of the LORD it shall be provided” turned out to be prophetic beyond what Abraham could have imagined: on another mountain, the Lamb of God was provided not as a substitute for one son, but for the sin of the world. Memorizing this verse anchors you in the confidence that what God calls for, God provides.
