Privacy Policy

This site collects no personal data. All progress, journal entries, and preferences live in your browser’s local storage and are never transmitted to the LampLight.Guide server.

We count page visits to understand which studies and essays are being read, browser versions and country from which the request came. No IP addresses are stored. No cookie data is used. No personal identifiers are collected or retained. No information about you as an individual is shared with third parties.

Services Provided by Others

Some features here are provided by outside companies. Your browser fetches their files directly, and any request your browser makes to another company tells that company your IP address, your browser and operating system, and which page you were reading. We send them nothing about you and we get nothing back about you, but we do not control what their servers do with what they see. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.

Scripture links. Every Bible reference on this site becomes a link that shows the passage when you hover over it. This feature is RefTagger, a service of Faithlife. Every page loads a script from api.reftagger.com, so Faithlife receives your IP address, your browser details, and the address of the page you are reading. See Faithlife’s privacy policy.

Visit counts. The counting described above is GoatCounter, loaded from gc.zgo.at. GoatCounter states that it does not store IP addresses, does not store the full browser identification, and does not use cookies or any other browser storage. See GoatCounter’s privacy policy.

Discussions, where available, use Giscus, which is powered by GitHub Discussions. Participation requires a GitHub account and is subject to GitHub’s privacy policy.

Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font service, so reading these pages does not contact a font provider.
