Week 4: Memory Verse
Why This Verse
This is the verse that launches the covenant story. Everything in the rest of the Bible flows from God’s call to Abram in Genesis 12:1. What makes it remarkable is the structure: the command comes before any explanation of the destination — “to the land that I will show you.” Abram is asked to move before he knows where he is going. Memorizing this verse anchors us in the shape of biblical faith: go in response to the word, trust the promise for what comes next.
