Week 2 Discussion Guide: Week 2 Discussion
Week 2 Discussion Guide
Use these questions with your group or for personal reflection at the end of the week.
Opening (5 minutes)
- Share one word that describes how you felt reading the story of the fall this week.
Observation (10 minutes)
- What patterns did you notice in how temptation works across the different stories this week (Eve, Cain)?
- Where did you see God pursuing people who were hiding or running from him?
Interpretation (15 minutes)
- Genesis 3:15 is called the “first gospel.” What do you think that means, and how did it show up later in the week’s reading?
- How do the genealogies in chapter 5 function as more than just a list of names?
Application (15 minutes)
- Where in your own life do you most relate to Cain’s warning — sin crouching at the door?
- What would it look like practically to “walk with God” the way Enoch did?
Prayer (5 minutes)
Close in prayer, asking God to help each person recognize temptation early and to walk closely with him in the week ahead.
